Maintaining an online presence is an essential part of just about any business venture in today’s landscape. Gone are the days when you need to be a tech-savvy person with a lot of coding experience to build websites efficiently. You can now take advantage of a drag and drop website builder, which lends itself to a user-friendly web development experience for all.

The only concern that you may have is which service to use for your site-building needs. Wix and Elementor are two solid options, and below is a comparison of Wix vs Elementor to help you decide which of the two is right for your needs.

Wix is known for its responsive and user-friendly development process, and you are very unlikely to be disappointed with your Wix website. Elementor, on the other hand, is known for its flexibility as a WordPress plugin with a lot of customization in mind. So, if WordPress stands out to you in the Wix vs WordPress battle, you can use Elementor as a design tool and as a migration tool. If you already have a Wix site, Elementor can help you migrate to a WordPress site if you so desire.

Pricing and Free Plan

Wix

If you want to, you can create websites under Wix’s free plan, which means that you never have to deal with a subscription fee. It’s not a free trial, so it never expires, but the feature set is limited compared to the paid plans.

The connect domain plan is the most basic paid plan available on Wix, and it costs $4.50 monthly. You get a custom domain, free SSL certificate, 1GB of bandwidth, and 500 MB of storage space. There is also a 24/7 customer care offering that you can take advantage of. Note that this plan displays Wix ads.

There is a combo plan for $8.50, which includes all the connect domain features plus a free demand for a year, removal of Wix ads, and 30 minutes of video. Bandwidth and storage space are upgraded to 2 GB and 3 GB, respectively.

The unlimited plan is next, and it costs $12.50 monthly. All combo features are included, plus access to the site booster and video analytics apps. Video time is upgraded to an hour, bandwidth is unlimited, and storage space is 10 GB.

The VIP plan is the last personal plan that Wix offers, and it includes all features of the unlimited plan, plus a professional logo and social media logo files. Customer care is upgraded to priority customer care, you get five video hours, and storage space is upgraded to 35 GB.

Wix also has business plans for those who need e-commerce and customer management features on their websites. The business basic plan costs $17 a month, and it allows you to secure online payments, set up recurring payments, manage customer accounts, get a custom domain, which is free for a year, remove Wix ads, unlimited bandwidth, 20 GB of storage space, five video hours, and 24/7 customer care. There are also unlimited product listings, abandoned cart recovery, and selling on social channels.

The business unlimited plan is next, and it costs $25 monthly. All business basic plan features are included, but storage space and video hours are upgraded to 35 GB and 10 hours, respectively. Additional features include subscription management, multiple currencies, 100 automated sales tax transactions monthly, selling on marketplaces, up to 250 dropshipping products, and up to 1,000 reviews.

The business VIP plan is the most full-featured, and it includes all features of the business unlimited plan. Additions include customized reports, priority customer care, and access to a loyalty program. Dropshipping products are unlimited, product reviews are upgraded to 3,000, automated sales tax is applied to 500 transactions, you get unlimited video hours and 50 GB of storage.

Elementor

Elementor offers four different subscription options that you can choose from depending on your needs. The free subscription is the first one, and like Wix, it’s an indefinite subscription, as opposed to a free trial. It’s available for any number of sites, and you get access to the drag and drop editor, responsive editing, over 30 basic templates, and over 40 basic widgets.

The first paid subscription is the personal plan, and it costs $49 annually for a single site. You get access to all free program elements, plus over 300 pro templates, over 50 pro widgets, over 10 full website template kits, a theme builder, a form builder, a WooCommerce builder, a popup builder, support for a year, and updates for a year.

The next plan is the plus option, and it costs $99 annually for three sites. The options included are the same as the personal plan, with the difference being the site number.

The expert plan is the final step, and it costs $199 yearly. The feature set is the same as the previous two plans, but this subscription covers 1,000 sites.
