Frase Review: What is Frase?

Frase ai for content is an innovative platform that can help you create and optimize content for maximum discoverability by search engines. It does this by giving you information about what people are searching for on the internet. This information can then be used to fine-tune your writing for optimal audience engagement.

Frase Pricing Plans

Farse.io pricing offers 3 simple and flexible plans for you to pick from; the Solo, Basic, and Team plans. Monthly Frase pricing is $14.99, $44.99, and $114.99, respectively, it may seem a little on the pricey side. However, for what the plans offer, they are well worth your money. Now, let’s see what you actually get if you choose Frase.

The Solo plan, being the most affordable one, is ideal for individuals who are just getting started with SEO content writing. With this plan, you can use many of the core features at a price that won’t break the bank.

If you are already a freelancer or part of a small team, you might want to check out the Basic plan. With it, you get unlimited document sharing and you can work on up to 30 documents.

Finally, we have the Team plan, which offers the most features. As the name suggests, this is ideal for larger teams and agencies that require to write content at a much larger scale.

You can buy an SEO Add-on for any of the plans. At only $35/mo, this gets you unlimited access to the Frase AI Writer, SERP data enrichment, and monthly keyword search volume in the Outline Builder.

If you decide that you want to use Frase for a long time and you want to save some money, you can pay annually. This gives you a 15% discount.

Core Frase Features

At the heart of Frase, there is the Content Brief creation. This tool helps you to effortlessly create content briefs on any question or search query you think people will be interested in. What makes Frase special is that the brief will not only have the SEO keywords, but also the keyword counts, headings, subsections, and other relevant information just like SurferSEO or PageOptimizer Pro does.

frase features

Not only will Frase give you a brief, but it can also write content for you as well! By just simply putting in a sentence prompt or keyword, a sophisticated AI algorithm can automatically suggest sentences, or even entire paragraphs, to add with a single click.

After you’ve written your content, you can even use Frase to compare that to other search competitors. This can help you find ways to optimize your content so it can have maximum consumer engagement.

Here are some of the key features Frase has, to make work much easier for you.

Research

Probably the most time-consuming part of content writing and planning is keyword and topic research. Frase is a true savior in this case as it does all extensive and comprehensive research for you. By only  going through the first 20 results in SERP, Frase gives you higher quality results and analysis.

Additionally, Frase researches questions that your clients ask based on your keywords in order to give you the most accurate answers. This is especially helpful if you want to include an FAQ section or use the questions as prompts for your content outline. Frase gives you the monthly volume of searches and the sources, so you’ll always know which questions are relevant to your content.

Automated Content Briefs

A well-put content brief is essential for high-quality articles, and it takes time and effort to create these. But, Frase has generated AI content briefs that are ready to work with within a few minutes. To create your brief, Frase takes into account several factors like:

  • Overview;
  • PAA section;
  • SERP;
  • Top 20 Topics;
  • Headers;
  • Questions;
  • Statistics;
  • External Links.

You can create your briefs manually by inserting the sections you want – or completely automate the process and let the AI bot do it for you.

Content Optimization

With the SEO Add-on from Frase, you can get high-quality SEO content from every aspect. Once Frase has done the keyword research for you and the brief, you can move over to the content editor and start creating your article. Within the content editor, you have a topic and content score that lets you know how good your article is and how you can expect it to rank.

But what’s truly unique about this feature is that Frase allows you to optimize already published articles, too. You can search through your articles archive based on keywords, and import your selected article into the content editor. Frase will give you suggestions on how to improve it based on the top 20 ranked articles for that specific keyword.

Frase Pros & Cons

Frase is one of the best AI writing tools on the market currently. And while it has quite a lot to write home back about, it still has its own set of drawbacks. We’ll discuss the pros and cons in more detail below.

Pros

One of the best features Frase has to offer is its Google Docs integration. Included in the Team Plan, this allows you to conveniently use Frase from any Google Docs document. This makes it possible for unlimited contributions, feedback, edits, and comments – boosting productivity!

Another thing that Frase offers is a Topic Score, an essential part of the Content Optimization aspect. With this, Frase uses and analyzes Google search results based on your keywords to show you how optimized your content is, and gives you suggestions on how to improve it further. Now let’s take a look at some of the pros in detail.

Time Efficient

Every content writer knows how time-consuming the whole ordeal is – from planning and creating content briefs to researching and organizing your content. Lucky for the desperate, Frase helps you create high-quality SEO content for a fraction of the time it normally takes you. As this content editor does most of the work, it has become one of the market’s most efficient AI writing tools.

Easy-to-use Interface

Content optimization tools are often cluttered and complicated to navigate simply because of their many features. To make navigating easier, Frase has an intuitive and easy-to-use interface that doesn’t require excessive onboarding for users to learn how to use it.

Comprehensive Content Tools

Frase has all of the tools a content writer might need. It has automated content briefs, a content editor and content scoring, an outline builder, a Google search console, custom templates, and an outline builder. Not just that, the Frase content analytics tool helps you pull data from the Google Search Console and use it to track and measure traffic growth as well as research new keywords.

Excellent Research

Frase excels at content research, perhaps even more than other similar content tools.
It mainly provides you with extensive research on your competitors as well as keyword research that goes beyond just estimating the potential organic traffic you could get. The answer engine also does a great job at finding the best answers to potential questions your clients might have.

Integrations with Other Apps

While Frase is an excellent tool on its own, armed with many helpful features, it goes a step beyond its integrations. One thing we found most helpful was its integration with Google Docs which allows users to access Frase through it.

Other possible integrations include Google Search Console, WordPress, and a Chrome extension called Frase Summarize. The list isn’t the longest we’ve seen, but the ones they do have on board work impeccably.

Cons

Unfortunately, no tool is perfect. One of the biggest drawbacks of Frase is that you can’t work on too many documents. While the Team plan gives you unlimited Documents Credits, the Basic Plan limits that to 30, and the Solo Plan a measly 7!

Use the credits wisely!

Additionally, yes, Frase does have some SEO capabilities. However, it is first and foremost a content tool. So unless you use some other tools for backlink analysis and keyword research, you will have to pay for the SEO addon as well. Fortunately, this does give you access to the AI writer, a nifty tool, and a real-time saver.

Now let’s take a look at some of the cons in detail.

Expensive Pricing Plans

One of the biggest drawbacks of Frase is its pricing plans which can get quite costly.

There are three available plans to choose from:

  • Basic, which costs $44.99, available for one user only;
  • Team, which costs $114.99 a month, available for 3 users;
  • Enterprise, which has custom pricing based on your needs.

Each new user in the Team or Enterprise subscription plan costs an extra $25 per user a month. In addition to this, the SEO add-on isn’t included in any of the subscriptions and costs an additional $35 a month. Considering the price of the SEO add-on and the limited number of users and document credits, the subscription plans are quite expensive.

Potential Lack of Accuracy

At the end of the day, Frase is powered by Artificial intelligence, meaning it’s learning along the way and adapts to the trends. This can lead to a potential lack of accuracy, so you need to be careful with the results provided and take them with a grain of salt. Double-checking what’s been done might be necessary, but considering how faster and simpler everything is with Frase, one can spend a minute or two more to ensure its accuracy.

No Filtering Options

Again, Frase is based on Artificial Intelligence, and while it works to the best of its capabilities to bring you the most relevant answers, spam can still slip through the cracks. This isn’t a major drawback, but it would be nice to at least be able to manually filter through the option and discard spam, when the AI doesn’t do it on its own.

Who Can Use Frase?

Practically anyone who is involved in SEO Content creation can benefit from using Frase, not just content writers.

While writers will obviously make use of Frase a lot, many others can use it as well. From SEO and content managers to Freelancers and Small Business Owners. Really, anyone who wants to optimize their search results can incorporate Frase into their workflow and benefit from it.

Is Frase Different From Other Tools?

Other SEO tools do exist, but they are nothing like Frase.

Most other tools mainly help you research SEO keywords, which admittedly is pretty good. However, Frase, in addition to this, also creates detailed content briefs and an outline for what you want to write. It can ever write the content for you, saving you a bunch of time in the long run.

How Does It Work?

It’s not that Frase is just a great tool for creating content. The way that it does it proves that it can be used by anyone – beginners or users of other similar tools.

After you’ve decided on the plan that fits you more, your next step is to log in to your account. Click the button under “Frase Content” to start creating. First, you start with a keyword. Choose what your topic is and search the net for it.

Frase will gather all important pages that contain that keyword and will then give you 2 options: proceed to create content or export the data. Another important thing that Frase offers are the Google Traffic and Concept Map sections. Thanks to them, you will get the top web analysis and the chance to fill out any content gaps you might face.

Once you have all of this done, it’s time to start with creating your content. Right on your screen, you will see the content brief and on the left, you can start creating content. Moreover, Frase even gives you the number of keywords a competitor’s site has. This way, you can directly get a clear picture of how you can rank your text higher!

The last thing is to simply export your document. After that, you choose where it goes!

As we mentioned before, Frase has a very intuitive interface that shouldn’t take you long to get used to. But to make it even easier for you here is a step-by-step of how to start using Frase.

Getting Started

You can get Frase on Appsumo with lifetime access or directly from the Frase website after choosing your subscription plan. Do note that, while there is no free option, all subscription plans have a 5-day money-back guarantee if Frase is not up to your liking.

Once you are done with your account set up, you’ll see the Frase feed. All shortcuts will be on the menu, left of your screen.

To begin your first article, click on the Get Started button under Frase Content which will open up another menu.

Click on Question Ideas and input your keyword in the search menu, which will prompt Frase to crawl through People Also Ask, Google Autocomplete, Quora, and Reddit to bring you the most relevant results.

Once you get the results, you can export them as an excel file located in the top right corner.
Or you can select the questions with the highest monthly search volume and click Create Document to start writing.

Creating the Content Brief

If your website has regular traffic, you can use Google Traffic to integrate your Frase account with the Google Search console. This will give you the queries that your visitors ask for. Even more, you can use the Concept Map option to see if there are any topic gaps, which if so, will prompt Frase to crawl Wikipedia for other suggestions.

Once you reach your new document, you’ll have to choose the Workflow and Search Type. You have the Create new content and Import and optimize content options under Workflow.

Under Search Type, you will have the Top Google Results and Results from a specific domain option. Once you’ve chosen, Frase will do its magic and bring you all relevant results from the search, and compile them in the content editor, where you’ll write your article.

Within the Content Editor

Within the Frase content editor, you’ll see your keyword and selected question on the left and your generated content brief on the right. At the bottom of the brief section, you can click on the Paste Brief button to copy it and make your adjustments. Or, you can simply go through each section and paste whatever content you need in the editor. Simply click on the sections or statistics that you like and Frase will copy them for you.

Once you’re satisfied with the brief, you can export it and assign it to a writer or start writing it yourself. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll have relevant content briefs ready within minutes.

Is Frase Worth Buying?

The honest Frase review is that it’s a wonderful tool that can help you halve your research time. Plus, Frase works great with any SEO tool. This way you can get great content that is original and SEO-optimized!

Content writers, bloggers, copywriters, and even YouTubers are discovering the benefits of using Frase review. So, hop on the bandwagon and create your most outstanding content with this powerful tool!
